This is an excellent opportunity for multiple React Developers to join a maturing fintech start-up (4 years in) building a cutting-edge platform. We are looking for someone who has the experience mentioned below but someone who feels passionate about their job.

Working with a multi-disciplined team of likeminded individuals you will take responsibility for creating & enhancing the app, using best in class technology, for this high-volume financial platform.

Tâches clés

  •  To deliver web components to enable MuchBetter products.
  •  To design and develop high-volume, high-performance, high-availability applications using proven frameworks and technologies.
  •  To ensure consistent use of shared platform components and technologies.
  •  To contribute to best practice for web application development.
  •  To be responsible for work quality, ensuring it meets the technical standards of MuchBetter.
  •  To work to the MuchBetter policy on Health and Safety.

Desirable Skillset / Experience

Connaissance

Expérience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing web applications using React.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience developing mobile applications using React Native.
  • Experience designing & implementing public-facing web applications.
  • Good understanding of the finance industry and payment systems.
  • Solid experience with front-end React and React Native
  • Experience with various testing patterns and supporting frameworks, (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, snapshot testing, and unit testing)
  • Experience in the following: React, React Native, Redux, Typescript, Vue.js, Javascript, Material-UI (Material Design), Bootstrap, REST, Node, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience in the following is highly desirable: Expo, RxSwift/ReactiveCocoa (iOS), RxJava (Android), Swift 5/Kotlin, MySQL, Google Cloud & GKE, Firebase, Docker, and GitLab.

Skills

  • Significant and demonstrable web development experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing best practices – especially around scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Demonstrable experience of test-driven development alongside the use of automated test frameworks & mocking/stubbing.
  • Proven experience of project working and commercial development processes – particularly Agile methodologies.
  • Experience of working in an environment where products must be delivered to specific timescales.
  • An ability to understand and translate product and business requirements into technical solutions rapidly and effectively.
  • Experience of supporting, modifying and maintaining systems and code developed by teams other than your own.
  • Experience of working with code repositories (e.g., Git, SVN), bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla), Wikis (e.g., Confluence) and code review tools (e.g., Gerrit).
  • Demonstrable experience with CI/CD process’ and their implementation (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet).
  • Demonstrable experience of providing mentoring & guidance on any of the above.
